When it comes to choosing clothes during your periods, comfort and confidence are the key. Being on periods does not mean that you have to sacrifice your style, you can look and feel your Best all month long.
Here are some ways to stay stylish during those days of the month:
- Leggings or Yoga Pants: They are stretchy and comfortable providing you with freedom for movement
- High waist Pants: High waist pants and skirts preferably with a stretch can be a good choice during periods, just see that they don’t constrict your waist. Gentle pressure around the waist might help reduce some cramps and the do help in hiding the bloated tummy. And they just look smart !!
- Skip heals: Skip heals during your periods as they can increase pressure on your lower back which is already hurting due to cramps.
- Wear comfortable socks and shoes: Wear breathable socks and flat shoes that will keep you comfortable and confident through out the day. Well, I like to wear cushiony socks during my periods. You can try them too.
- Dark Colours: This is a no-brainer. You don’t need to worry much about stains if you wear dark colours.
- Shrugs: Try to use some smart shrugs during this time. They will not only elevate your look but will also save you in case you accidently stain your pants.
- Jeans: Jeans may not be the most comfortable choice during periods especially when they are tight fitted. However, people like me who just cannot live without Jeans can consider following tips:
- opt for a loose-fitting Jeans that give you room to move and breathe
- Look for a stretchy fabric to give you more comfort and flexibility
- Wear a long top to give you extra coverage in case you are conscious about leaks
